1998 Bally Cactus Canyon pinball machine
Building Location: Vip
Game Type = SS

The 1999 Bally/Williams Cactus Canyon at the Ann Arbor Michigan Pinball Museum was originally a "white wood" game. This was the last DMD (dot matrix display) game made by Bally/Williams. Only 903 Cactus Canyons were made. The game was used at Williams early in the design process and was a white wood machine (it had no graphics on the playfield.) The game then came home to designer Matt Coriale's house. (Matt did both the software and the overall game design with Tom Kopera.) About a year later Matt no longer wanted the game, and literally put it on the curb for the garbage man. He then called Duncan Brown (whom he worked with Matt at WMS), and Duncan drove over to Matt's house and pick it up off the curb. We acquired the game from Duncan, and then updated the game to a "real" Cactus Canyon. (At the time WMS parts was still open, so getting a real playfield and other missing production parts wasn't difficult or expensive.) Then this year (2015) we aquired the "Cactus Canyon 2.0" PROC software system and color DMD. This upgrades the Cactus Canyon software to a much more robust game.

This is the actual game at the VFW Pinball Museum. Any questions regardling this game, or any games for sale, please email the VFW Pinball Museum at
